This Full time medical assistant / phlebotomist position is for a 2 physician Internal Medicine and Endocrinology office in Framingham, MA, supporting both providers.
Phlebotomy skills are preferred but are not required.
We welcome all applicants, including gap year students, who are interested in going into healthcare related fields
Hours: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

We will train you in the areas listed below and help you to develop the skills needed to succeed in any medical practice and beyond. For gap year students, this position will help you to gain valuable direct patient care experience to prepare for medical, nursing, or PA school.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms
• Rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing EKGs
• Updating immunization records
• Entering laboratory and imaging orders
• Scheduling appointments
• Processing prescriptions, referrals, and prior-authorizations
• Performing patient education
• Providing administrative and phone support as needed including helping with patient scheduling, checking patients in and out, performing patient callbacks under physician guidance, among other administrative tasks
• Coordinating high quality patient care with other offices as needed
• Performing phlebotomy in a point-of-care environment
• Performing lab tests and procedures such as urinalyses and injections
