Overview
CRMA’s Population Health Program provides the infrastructure that allows the providers to optimally and proactively manage our patients with chronic conditions (e.g. diabetes, hypertension) and those in need of preventative health services such as cancer screenings.
The Data Analyst would be a new position to CRMA who will report to CRMA’s PHM Manager. The analyst will work directly with a variety of clinical and operational reporting tools to create actionable data in support of PHM programs.
Principal Duties
- Design, test, and administer database queries for both routine and adhoc reports, typically using MS Access but also CRMA’s EMR, Epic, and various reporting tools of Partners Healthcare.
- Repackage data into presentable or printable format, typically using Excel.
- Distribute actionable data to CRMA offices and PHM colleagues, via email, EMR alerts, paper, letter, and fax.
- Manage patient outreach operations, via EMR portal, mail, and telephone. May work in conjunction with local CRMA offices or directly with patients depending on the project.
- Participate as a key member of the PHM team. Interact with key CRMA clinical and operational leadership to achieve PHM goals.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- Four-Year college degree in any major. Healthcare related field a plus.
- Expert and experienced user of MS Access required. CRMA can teach the underlying data, but not the tool itself. Candidates will be formally tested for their ability to use MS Access.
- Expert and experienced user of MS Excel required. Analyst will routinely move datasets multiple times between Access and Excel.
- One or more years of experience in a healthcare analyst role required.
- Previous experience with Epic a plus.
- Previous experience working in a physician organization or health insurance company a plus.
- Self-directed, project-oriented, flexible personality.
