Full time Medical assistant needed for busy Cardiology practice in Framingham, MA.

Professional, courteous and friendly-mannered individual to function as a Medical Assistant in a busy Cardiology practice. Candidates will be responsible for rooming pts, taking vital signs, refilling medications and perform ekg’s and Holter Monitors.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification a plus. Experience with Epic, (electronic medical record program) is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills, computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in fast paced environment are essential qualities needed for this position. Must enjoy interacting with the public and have prior Customer Service experience.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinates pre-visit preparations • Rooms patients and documents procedures • Prepares treatment rooms with appropriate instruments and materials for examination of patients. • Cleans and restocks exam room. • Completes inventories and orders medical supplies and materials. • Maintains the strictest confidentiality of any and all patient records. • Performs other tasks such as scheduling and completing forms. • Regular attendance and punctuality required. • Performs all other duties and tasks requested to ensure the efficient overall performance of the practice.


  • 1 to 2 years of experience working in a Cardiology practice required. • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification as a Medical Assistant through a national accredited certifying body. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of OSHA standards:  Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. • Strong computer and typing skills, with previous EMR system preferred. EPIC experience preferred. • Ability to prioritize work, follow through, brainstorm and collaborate to meet changing practice needs.

Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires frequent standing and walking. Requires occasional lifting. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
